Dr. Javanmard completed his Internal Medicine residency and chief residency training at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, New York. He then completed his clinical fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Diseases at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where he remained on faculty as a full time clinical endocrinologist. He subsequently moved to the DC Metropolitan area to join The Endocrinology Group in 2021 and feels privileged to serve his patients from the area and beyond.
He takes pride in providing excellent patient-centered care, with clear and open communication, during and in-between visits, a priority. He strives to manage his patients in the most effective, evidence-based, and compassionate manner possible. Furthermore, he is actively involved in mentoring and educating medical students, residents, and fellows. He has published over a dozen highly cited peer-reviewed journal articles, including a book chapter, and has presented his work at numerous conferences. Dr. Javanmard thoroughly enjoys and cherishes treating patients of all ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, across the entire spectrum of endocrine-related disease. Outside of his clinical practice, he enjoys watching films, playing sports, and spending time with his wife Dr. Maryam Pouryahya and their 2 children Ala and Ata.
