“My patient care philosophy is simple – I believe in treating each patient as a whole person, not a constellation of symptoms. I strive to empower, educate, and equip my patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take charge of their metabolic health.”

Personal Interests

Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, finding niche coffee shops in the DMV area, and spending time with friends and family.

Hafsah Iqbal is originally from a small town, south of Richmond, VA, called Chester. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She moved to the DMV area for PA school in 2021, and has lived in Ashburn since. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies and subsequently her Doctorate in Medical Sciences at Shenandoah University.

As a Pakistani-American, she is particularly passionate about Type 2 Diabetes and PCOS management as these are so prevalent in south-asian communities. Her special interests include emerging diabetes technologies, preventative medicine, and patient education.

She is excited to provide high-quality, patient-centered endocrine care to help patients achieve their metabolic goals.
